I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
